Among the most common uses for hypnotherapy are smoking cessation,
weight loss and confidence building. Below is a list of habits,
conditions, ailments etc. This list is by no means exhaustive.
Analgesia/anaesthesia
(see below), anxiety, bed-wetting, behaviourial problems (blushing,
nail-biting, nervous tics etc), low confidence, eating disorders,
eczema, exam nerves, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, memory
improvement, panic attacks, phobias, post traumatic shock, sexual
dysfunction, smoking cessation, speech impediments, sports
performance enhancement, stress, weight loss and much more.
Analgesia
and anaesthesia must be used with caution. It would be foolish if I
were to use hypnotherapy to remove pain, for example, in a limb after a
soccer injury. The freedom from pain would let you use the limb easier
but the original injury would remain untreated. This obviously can
lead to complications such as infections or chronic pain. EFT
can be used for pain relief, phobias (fear of spiders, heights, water,
flying, public speaking and more), sports improvement (increase golf
score, improve tennis performance and more) and habits/addictions.
(smoking, nail biting, chocolate addiction). Again, this list is a
mere sample of what EFT can do. This list can go on and on. In the
words of the EFT Tutor, 'TRY IT ON EVERYTHING'.
