Hypnotherapy, Stress Management & Emotional Freedom Techniques Stuart Knox BSc, cur.hyp, d.hyp, EFT-CC, ASC (Corp) MAEPH, GHR Registered (Affil)FASC Tel: 07786 319913 The Consulting Rooms
Welcome to Stuart Knox Hypnotherapy Having read numerous books on the subject of hypnosis over the past twenty- five years I decided to train to become a hypnotherapist and completed a course in Curative Hypnotherapy at the British School of Yoga, receiving my diploma in 2001, following this with a diploma in Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy at the Robert Shields College at the end of 2002. This course was of great value especially as I learned other methods of therapy that could be used when hypnosis was not possible. Successful completion of this course gave access to membership of the Association of Ethical & Professional Hypnotherapists (click MAEPH link (left) to view charter). I am also registered as an Afilliate at The General Hypnotherapy Register. In September 2003 I qualified as an EFT Practitioner and have used this therapy with many clients, often in conjunction with hypnosis. I am a Fellow of the Association of Stress Consultants having successfully completed a diploma in Advanced Stress Consultancy helping individuals in a social and personal environment cope with stress and free themselves from their internal prison. I also have a diplomna in Corporate Stress Consultancy aimed towards assisting employers and employees in the workplace. I have also studied stage hypnosis for a number of years and have a diploma in Advanced Stage Hypnosis giving me membership to the Professional Organisation of Stage Hypnosis. I perform stage shows in addition to hypnotherapy and am available in the UK for Corporate, College and Private performances. I have recently returned from Gran Canaria where I performed over 100 stage shows. If you are interested in booking me for a show in the UK contact me by phone or email for details and prices. Throughout this site I have tried to avoid the use of the words 'trance', 'sleep' and 'awake'. Many people use these words freely when speaking of hypnosis but they should be clarified. A hypnotic trance suggests someone with fixed pupils, arms stretched out in front of them and walking at the pace of an intoxicated tortoise! I prefer to use hypnotic state when referring to the condition of deep relaxation under the guidance of a hypnotist. Sleep is far from the hypnotic state. You are definitely NOT sleeping when in this state and so you do not waken if you are not sleeping! Whilst I see nothing wrong in using these terms, I personally try to avoid them to remove confusion. I do slip up occasionally but I make sure I explain to clients what to expect before beginning therapy. I guarantee complete confidentiality and empathy. Every client, whether wishing to lose weight, stop smoking, gain confidence, etc, is unique. You will be treated as a person not as 'another client'. One method used to help someone quit cigarettes may not be suitable for the next person. Mesothelioma http://www.mesotheliomasymptoms.com Click the amazon buttons below to view a range of books, CDs.
